Asphalt shingles are a lightweight, durable, and cost-efficient roofing material commonly used for residential and light commercial applications. It is composed of a reinforced fiberglass core coated with high-grade asphalt and surfaced with ceramic-coated mineral granules to ensure excellent waterproofing, UV protection, and weather resistance.
The shingles are installed in overlapping layers over roofing underlayment, complete with starter strips, ridge caps, flashings, and fasteners, forming a fully integrated and watertight roofing system. The granule surface enhances durability, improves resistance against thermal expansion, and provides an aesthetically pleasing finish available in various colors.
This roofing system offers reliable performance, low maintenance, and a service life of approximately 15–30 years, depending on product quality and environmental conditions. Recommended for residential houses, subdivisions, resorts, and buildings with a minimum roof slope of 15 degrees.
